Introduction to Centering Prayer

This workshop will introduce you to an ancient prayer discipline of lovingly opening one’s mind and heart to God in silence. Listening in this silence with an open and loving heart creates deep intimacy which facilitates the development of contemplative prayer. The program will consist of several informational sessions interspersed with opportunities to experience Centering Prayer for yourself.

The Introductory Workshop will be at Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church
915 North Central Avenue, Flagler Beach, FL 32136. We will meet in Fr. O’Flaherty Hall from 9:00 am -12:30. Registration/coffee and light bites begin at 8:30am. There will be a late morning break with light refreshments. Registration is $8.00 if paid in advance and $10.00 at the door. Early registration may be paid by check made out to Pam Gregg and mailed to 74 Osprey Circle, Palm Coast, FL 32137.

Follow-up Sessions: If you are interested in learning more and praying with others, there will be 6 follow-up sessions that will provide you with foundational information and the opportunity for support in your practice. These sessions will be held at Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church Learning Center Thursday mornings 10:00-11:30 beginning March 30th.
