Fr. Thomas Keating March 7, 1923 – October 25, 2018
Indeed I shall continue to rejoice …
that with all boldness, now as always,
Christ will be magnified in my body,
whether by life or by death.
For to me life is Christ and death is gain.
– Philippians 1: 18 – 21

To the worldwide community of Contemplative Outreach,
There are several events planned to honor Fr. Thomas’ transformative presence among us.
Afuneral mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Abbey in Spencer, Massachusetts on Saturday, November 3 at 11am Eastern time. This is open to the public.
The monks of St. Benedict’s Monastery will be co-hosting a memorial service with Contemplative Outreach at Spirit of Christ Church, Arvada (Denver), Colorado, at 11am Mountain time on Friday November 16. Please RSVP here if you intend to come, as the church holds up to 1200 people. Hotel suggestions can be found at the bottom of this email. A 24-hour prayer vigil will be hosted concurrently with the memorial (details to come).
Through the generosity of our friends at The Center for Action and Contemplation (CAC), the memorial service will be live-streamed so anyone can participate anywhere in the world. On Friday, November 16, please go here to view the memorial service at 11am Mountain time.
If you have any questions, please reply to this email. Please respect the privacy of St. Benedict’s Monastery and St. Joseph’s Abbey and do not call with questions.
