Visioning Day Postponed

Because prayer groups have not yet fully begun meeting in person, the decision has been made to postpone Visioning Day.  Dan Wagner has agreed to continue as Coordinator in the interim. Jesse Fox will continue handling accounting in the interim.

Originally planned for Saturday, September 11, 2021  it is to be rescheduled
9:00AM to 3:30PM
Canterbury Retreat Center, 1601 Alafaya Trl, Oviedo, FL  32765

What is a Visioning Day?

The “Visioning” day provides an opportunity for all Centering Prayer practitioners in our community to gather together to celebrate our history, assess our needs as a contemplative community, and “envision” future growth and direction for Contemplative Outreach of Central Florida (COCFL) post pandemic.

All participants will have an opportunity to offer input through small group and large group discussion and be a part of future planning as we envision our future as a contemplative community.

Dan Wagner and Jesse Fox have served as COCFL Co-Coordinators for the past four years including a one-year pandemic extension. We will be gathering for prayer and guidance of the Spirit in selecting a new coordinator for the next three years. Susan Rush will guide us through this leadership discernment.

 Who should come?
All practitioners of Centering Prayer in Central Florida are encouraged to participate in loving service. This is a great opportunity to gather with people from all over our chapter and pray together as we plan for our future. There will be two periods of centering prayer during the day.

Registration includes a light breakfast and lunch.  A donation is requested to offset these costs and the rental of the facility for the day.

This is an in person event but provision is being planned through Zoom for those who are hindered by distance or health concerns.
